Just a quick note: Drupal decides to always unpublish some of my blog entries. I'm aware of that problem.
But i'm not aware of the solution :°( . I'm working on it and hope that this entry stays up. If not i think i have to disable that module.
Update: I had to disable that module. I'm running drupal 6.1 which is a very young release. Perhaps the module isn't yet correctly ported.

One nice thing about setting up drupal was the finding that i still get referers from the xaraya module wizard. That was my first open source contribution. Well received by the community but i couldn't keep myself interested in maintaining it. As you can see i released in May 2003. And i would say i haven't maintained it longer that 3 month.
It's under a week since i have switched my blog from silverstripe to drupal. And i'm astonished. I had expected that drupal would be more mature than Silverstripe but not such a big difference. With drupal i was able to achieve every goal i had set myself in a very short time. Do not assume that silverstripe is a bad system, but for someone like me who only wants a system that works it's not yet there. I'm pretty sure they will get there.
Since the 18th of February 2008 i am an official contributor of the KDE project. See my first commit. It was a small one :-).
I'm concentrating currently on the systemsettings application. It is the KDE 4 equivalent of the kcontrol application.
After about one month going with silverstripe i decided to switch to drupal today. I initially choose silverstripe because the quality of design and code convinced me. But i learned - again - that top notch code doesn't solve problems. The blog module is to immature to use.
If you are like me and read real fast, you know that it's not easy to make sure theres always high quality supply available. That's the reason i rely on the internet to provide me with a hindsight if a book is good or not. Nevertheless it happens i buy a book i don't like. That's why i prefer books with free chapters.
With music you know what you get. You heard it in the radio or ... eh ... somewhere else. I always buy a compact disc if i like it. The same would apply to book. But i'm forced to buy a book based on the cover or at best because someone recommended it to me.
Rod Benson is a basketball player with the ambition to make it into the nba. And he blogs. And he's damn good at both.
Currently he is playing in the d-league. That's the development league of the nba. Having made the all star team this year i guess his chances are not so slim.
